Megan Freitas
English & Executive Function Tutor
Megan graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies: English, Pastoral Counseling, and Health Sciences. Megan is currently completing her Masters in General Psychology. She is passionate about education, teaching, and the acquisition of knowledge through the pursuit of truth. With an affection for English, Megan especially enjoys helping students refine their reading and writing skills, with an overarching goal of aiding students in thinking and therefore writing well. She is passionate about supporting students to develop both academic competence and the confidence that derives from it, equipping them to further excel in life. Her academic focuses are English, phonics, and executive function.

Cole Junge
Math Tutor
Cole Junge is a fourth-year student at UC Berkeley studying Applied Mathematics (emphasis in Data Science) and Political Science (emphasis in Comparative Politics). He is passionate about mathematics and its applications in fields like neural networks and data science. Since graduating from Corona del Mar High School in 2022, he has acquired several years of experience tutoring high school and college students in Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Multivariable Calculus. Cole enjoys helping students build confidence while developing a clear, lasting understanding of mathematics.

Alyssa Sanchez
Chemistry & Science Tutor
Alyssa is a passionate STEM tutor dedicated to helping students build confidence and truly understand science. She believes that subjects like biology and chemistry should feel approachable, engaging, and accessible to every student. Through patient guidance and personalized support, Alyssa works to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
Alyssa graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and is currently applying to medical school. With over three years of tutoring experience, she enjoys helping students break down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. Having once felt that science could be overwhelming and inaccessible, Alyssa is passionate about making STEM education more inclusive and empowering students to realize they are capable of mastering it.

Sarah Thurin
English & Spanish Tutor
Sarah Thurin is a People Consultant at Ernst & Young, where she combines her passion for human development with strategic insights to help individuals and teams reach their full potential. A graduate of Boston College, Sarah earned her degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development with a concentration in the Psychology of Work, along with minors in Finance and Spanish.
Outside of her consulting role, Sarah is deeply committed to fostering a love for literature among young people. She believes in the transformative power of reading and writing, and she works to help students improve their reading comprehension, writing skills, and Spanish language abilities. For Sarah, nothing is more fulfilling than watching someone thrive as they discover their stride and passion—whether through books or personal growth.

Julian Masloub
Math & Science Tutor
Julian is a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major at UC Irvine and is also pursuing a minor in Statistics. Julian has a substantial history in tutoring both the sciences and mathematics from the elementary to the collegiate level. As a tutor, Julian works to implement strong study habits and problem-solving skills within his students to develop their confidence, no matter the subject. He believes that effective tutoring instills a genuine appreciation and understanding of the subject and hopes to share his passion for learning with his students.
